Meet the Sullivan Vampires

“Meet” the characters from my Sullivan Vampires books:

Kane Sullivan

Dark, enigmatic and brooding, the captivating Kane Sullivan runs the old Sullivan Hotel in Eternal Cove, Maine. She purchased the hotel a hundred and fifty years ago as a sanctuary for her and the other Sullivan women.

Kane was born in Ireland, several hundred years ago, with the name “Mercy.” After being brutally attacked and drained by a vampire, Mercy’s body was strong enough to survive the transformation from human to vampire. Intent on revenge, she killed the vampire queen who’d drained her, and changed her name to Kane, which means “fighter.”

Kane has spent the past several decades mourning the loss of her soul mate, Melody. Kane is distant and often unreachable in her sadness, but when Rose comes to the Sullivan Hotel, there is something in Rose that calls to Kane. Something she can’t deny…

Rose Clyde

Rose lost her girlfriend, Anna, in an accident six months ago, and has been looking for a chance to restart her life. When she moves to Eternal Cove, Maine, she could never have predicted that her life would change this much…or the fact that she would meet Kane Sullivan and be instantly drawn to the captivating woman.

Rose has spent her entire life making safe decisions. She’s thoughtful and quiet, but she’s very passionate about what she feels is right, and even though she’s in over her head in the Sullivan Hotel, she firmly believes she was meant to be there.

And she’s willing to fight for Kane, no matter what it takes.

But is Rose really who she says she is? Maybe even she doesn’t realize what resides deep inside of her…

Branna Sullivan (Bran)

Bran and Kane grew up as humans together in Ireland, several hundred years ago. As strong as Kane, Bran’s body fought back when it was drained entirely by the vampire queen Darcy, and she became a vampire. Kane and Branna have been fast friends since that time, and they have traveled the world together.

Bran is deeply kind and supportive of Kane. Always there with a wise word or a strong shoulder to lean on, she becomes very close to Rose, because Rose “reminds her of someone she used to know.”

Bran has been unlucky in love, though she’s had several hundred years to experience it. She hopes that, one day, the right woman will come along, and Bran will sweep her off her feet. Though Bran doesn’t speak of it often, she dreams of a romance that will stand the test of time.

Fantastic you work fast. just what I asked for. Thanks for listening. Hope it wasn’t too much like hard work.:-) Xx

    • Thank you so much, Mark! And it’s never hard work when you’re doing something that you love–my stories mean so much to me, and I’m so glad you enjoy them so much. 🙂 Thanks for being so supportive!

  2. Elizabeth says:

Boosting your ego with a little praise. Good job! Will be waiting eagerly for more.

    • Oh goodness, Elizabeth, thank you so much–you made my day! 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoy the Sullivans so much–I hope you’ll give my Lone Wolf books a try too, they’re my latest release! Again, thank you so much for the kind words–I appreciate them so much! 🙂

This is really great. I can now picture them as I read the stories again. Can’t wait for the next in the series. keep up the great work with all your books, I love reading them.

I enjoyed seeing these characters as you see them and comparing them to the how I pictured them. I found this series by accident and read them all in less than two days. Now I want more! The stories are amazingly well written and they keep me trying to figure out what’s next! I’m pulling for Kane, but I feel sorry for Tommie. She needs a soul mate, just not Rose!

    • Hi, Kris! Thank you so much for your kind words–I’m so glad you enjoyed my Sullivans. 🙂 I promise you–don’t feel too badly for Tommie. She’s one of my favorite characters, and after the whole series is over, most of the main characters are getting stand-alone novels…including Tommie. She’s going to have her own adventures and experiences…but I don’t want to give too much away! 🙂 Again, thank you so much–I’m so glad you enjoyed them!!

I love books that branch off and bring a depth to each character! I’m extremely glad to hear that (now get to work, Kane has a girl to win!). I work on a shrimp boat during the summer, down in louisiana, so I go through a lot of books. I couldn’t believe Natalie Vivien was connected to you because I’ve been reading her for awhile. Two very big, huge even, thumbs up for “French Lessons”! An amazing read I’ve passed on to several other people. Thank you both for days of entertainment and making my girlfriend question my many amazon charges.

I’ve fallen in love with the characters. There is so much mystery behind why Rose is so familiar with Kane and Tommie. Is it because Melody’s true soul is reincarnated into Rose, and the new Melody is just a vessel? And is there a connection between Melody and Darcy? I want to know so, so bad it’s killing me. You know what else is killing me? I know that Rose and Kane is endgame, but my heart breaks for Tommie, and this never happens with me. I don’t root for any couple besides the main one, yet, Tommie is such an endearing, sympathetic character. Sometimes, I just like imagining that Tommie and Kane both share Rose equally and the three of them live happily ever after, really, I wouldn’t mind that at all (which is weird because I have never liked a three-way relationship, but I just don’t want any three of them to get hurt). This series really tugs on my heartstrings because I want Kane and Rose to be together so bad, yet, my heart is still going to break for Tommie.

Bridget Essex did such a good job with making these characters so damn lovable. I eagerly await her next book. In the meantime, I will be re-reading Dark Angel, another story I hope will get a continuation as there are a lot of unanswered questions, and will be starting on The Lone Wolf series.

    • Wow, thank you so much, Kat, I appreciate that so much!! 🙂 I know–Tommie is one of my favorite characters (I think you could tell that!), and I’ve had a lot of plans for her from the beginning, so don’t worry about her too much! 🙂
