I have been working so, so hard on CHOOSING ETERNITY, and it is aaaaaaaaalmost done. But, historically, when I release a book, I am inconsolably depressed for days after. I miss the characters deeply and I just feel so empty because they’re “gone.” I *know* it’s going to be extra, extra, extra worse completing this series that has meant the world to me, and I’ve been trying to head that off at the pass (my clinical depression this winter has been off the charts, so I’m doing everything I can to make Things That I Know Are Going to Depress Me less depressing).
SO, I’m folding in working on my next book with working on CHOOSING ETERNITY. When I near completion on a book, I always put aside all other projects while I focus working around the clock on finishing the one. But to make this book’s ending less heartbreaking to me, I’m not doing that this time. I’m working on it a little bit every day after my heavy workload of CHOOSING ETERNITY…and it’s helping.
SO, here’s my next release after CHOOSING ETERNITY. *sparkle sound effect as I gesture to this glory* It’s…helping me take my mind off the sadness.
