Our Not-So-Haunted Valentine’s Day Weekend!

I hope everyone’s Valentine’s Day was wonderful! ♥ Natalie and I haven’t taken a vacation or romantic getaway in OVER A YEAR AND A HALF because we’ve been working so hard on writing and fixing up the house, so we agreed that this Valentine’s Day, we had to start taking time for ourselves again! ♥ So to kick off our “do more wonderful, romantic things” strategy, we booked a night at a haunted hotel in Niagara Falls!

No ghosts were spotted in the taking of this photo.  ;D

Like the true nerds that we are, we brought all of our ghost hunting equipment (Little Known Fact about Bridget and Natalie: we’re amateur ghost hunters!), sushi and strawberries, and because it was NEGATIVE TEN DEGREES OUTSIDE (very sad face! 😦 ), we couldn’t bring ourselves to bundle up and brave the cold to actually walk to Niagara Falls and see it (to our credit, we’ve seen it a LOT OF TIMES before, including in winter, so we thought it best to keep our fingers and toes unfrozen!). So we stayed in our room and had the most wonderful, romantic time imaginable. (And picked up no evidence of spectral visitors…but that’s probably for the best! I can’t sleep in haunted hotel rooms. ;D) ♥ ♥ ♥ I’m so glad we did it!!!! ♥

This week, it’s back to work with a lot of happy things in store. Natalie is hard at work on her next novel (she’s been working on it for awhile, and it’s getting close to completion!), and I’m finishing up edits for A Wolf for Valentine’s Day which should be out this week!

A terribly blurry selfie from our Valentine’s Day weekend. ♥ ♥ ♥ I love this lady so, so, so much. ♥
